Bokeh in the Park
We really like flowers! While walking in Lincoln Park with my husband a little over a week ago, I took lots of photos of the blooming trees. I like the way this one turned out, with a very shallow depth of field, resulting in that "bokeh" look that is all the rage on sites like Flickr. I have always liked images with sharp close-ups and blurred backgrounds - I just recently learned about the bokeh effect, however.

Roses
Here are a couple of photographs of the flowers given to me by my husband. Yes, Mark actually bought me flowers! It's been at least 10 years since that has happened, but I don't care - I'm not complaining! Just thought I'd share.
Thanks, Kristin

Winter Shoreline, Belmont Harbor
Hello, this is E.J. This is one of my favorite images. I made this photograph on a cold and snowy day in Chicago, back when I was living near Belmont and Clark in Lakeview.
This is actually a view of the lake, even though you can't see the water. The falling snow obscured the distinction between sky and water. The thin black line is a running path along the lake. I loved the look of the one tree set apart from the group on the left.
